Driver Gibbons Family Bible Georgia The following was taken from the Driver-Gibbons family Bible which is in the possession of a cousin in south Georgia who is a direct descendant of Daniel Boone Driver who settled in Schley County, GA in 1827. He is buried in the old Driver Cemetery located on the old homeplace in Schley County, just south of Ellaville, GA. The handwriting is very legible and appears to be that of a well educated person, or persons, and it appears to have been written by perhaps two or three different persons, however the dates are not in order. Henry Gibbons, son of Joseph and Ann Gibbons was married to Margaret C. Brown,19th September, 1811. Henry Gibbons married to Sarah Parker on the 9th December, 1819. Andrew Jackson Driver was born on the 31st of May, 1846. Thomas Jefferson Driver was born on the 28th of February, 1848. Joseph William Driver was born on the 5th of March, 1851. Eliza Ann Elizabeth Driver was born on the 7th September, 1853. Joseph W. Gibbons was married to Miss Sarah Jane Richardson on 23td November, 1853. Andrew Jackson Driver, son of Daniel Driver was married to Mattie R. Perkins the 29th of December, 1875. Lavonia Driver, daughter of Daniel Driver was married to L. M. Battle the 18th of November, 1879. Henry Gibbons, son of Joseph and Ann Gibbons was born the 18th of January, 1785, half after 9 night and Margaret my wife was born the 21st February, 1792. Sarah Ann our first child was born the 29th April, 1813 and baptized by the Rev'd Mr. Myers. Margaret Elizabeth our third child was born the 27th May, 1816 and was baptized by the Rev'd Mr. Bird. Ann Broadbeth our forth child was born 1 January, 1818 and baptized by the Rev'n Mr. McCloven. Henry our firth child was born 7 January, 1821. Mary Jane our second child was born 20 January, 1823. Sarah our third child was born the 20 November, 1824. Jonathan our fourth child was born 15 April, 1826. Elizar Ann our firth was born the 16 July, 1828. Joseph William our six baby was born 18 January, 1830 Thomas Henry our seven child was born the 28 February, 1834 Andrew Jackson our first borne was born the 31 1846 (no month given) Louvena Missouri Ella Driver was born on the 10th October, 1856 (ink smeared) Sarah Louvonia Driver was born on the 20 April, 1859. Ader W. Driver was born January 9, 1862. Susan Cary Driver was born in the 23 day of September, 1864. Sarah Ann our first child died 26 October 1816, age 3 years, 5 months, 29 days. Margaret Crofort Gibbons, my first wife died the 17 February, 1818, aged 25 years, 11 munth, 24 days. Henry our Fift child died 15 April, 1821, aged 3 munths, 8 days. Mary Jane our second child died 1 August, 1825 aged 2 years, 11 days David Brown died 29 June, 1828 aged 13 years, 4 munth, 10 days Jonathan our forth child died 28 days of May 1827, aged 11 years, 1 month, 13 days. (different handwriting) Andrew Jackson Driver was born the 31 day of May, 1846. Thomas Jefferson Driver was born in the year of February the 28, 1848. Jos'th Wilum Driver was born on the 5 of May 1851. Eliser Ann Elisebth was borned on the 7 of September, 1853. Missure Ella Driver was bornd on the 10 October, 1856. Saroah Luvonia Driver was born on the 20 April, 1859 (different handwriting) Ader U ferginvaz (??) was borned on the ____January, 1862. (Believe this to be the same as Ader W. Driver). Susan Cary was borned on the 23 September, 1864. Mary F. Driver, 10th child was bornd October 23rd, 1867. Jhonnie T. Driver son of T. J. Driver was borned February 14th, 1877 and Willie D. Driver was borned the 18 August, 1879. Daniel Boon Driver boarn in 1812, died June 8, 1883. Mrs. Sarah Driver (died??) February 20, 1908. She was borned in Lawrens County 25 of November, 1824 was married to Daniel Driver in February the 11, 1845, she was Sarah Gibbons. ****Note: I tried to copy this from the Bible exactly as it was written. There are a couple of errors that I noted, however, as stated above, it appears that more than one person made entries into the Bible.
