Silas Mercer died January 16th 1841

Sarah Ann Mercer died August 14th 1846
Nancy Haseltine Lamar died July 6th 1858
James H. Lamar died June 8th 1860
Harmon S. Mercer died in Virginia August 31, 1861

(These dates copied from an old Bible published in 1828 now in possession of
Mary Mercer, who belonged to the Mercers.  She was bought with her mother
by Mrs. Mercer at Ft. Gaines, Ga. And lived there many years.  This Bible was
given Mary Mercer by Miss Hattie Patterson of Bainbridge, Ga.  upon the death
of Mr. E. A. Thompson, September 1906.  Mrs. Thompson being Elizabeth
Ann Mercer.)
