In 1622 he saved Jamestown and other Settlements by informing the authorities of the impending Massacre which had been recalled to him by one of his servants, a friently converted Indian named Chance. Richard Pace born about 1590 in England died 1628 at Pace's Paines, Jamestown, Va. Wife Isabelle born about 1595 died after 1635 married about 1618. George Pace born about 1620 died____. Married Aran Maycox born 1622 died about 1690 married about 1642 (daughter of) Capt. Samuel Maycox. Richard Pace born about 1655 died 1738. Wife Rebeccah born about 1665 died about 1738, married 1688. Richard Pace came from Va. To Bertie Precinct NC where he died. Children of Richard Pace and Wife, Rebecah were: William Pace, Thomas Pace, Richard Pace, Ann Pace, Rebecah Pace, Amy Pace, Frances Pace, Sarah Pace, Mary Pace and Tobitha Pace. Thomas Pace, 2nd son of Richard and Rebecah Pace, lived in Northhampton Co., NC. His children were: Nathaniel, Frances, Dellia, Thomas, Amy and Richard Pace. Thomas Pace born in NC lived in Halifax Co., NC until 1768. Born about 1810 died 1765, wife Amy born about 1710 died after 1765. Married 1730. Thomas Pace born about 1745 died about 1850 wife Bebelle Mathews born about 1763 died about 1850 married 1780. Children of Thomas Pace: William, Nanne, John, Mary, Martha, James, Elizabeth and Hardy. Hardy Pace married lst Susan Turner May 20, 1809. Susan Turner died 1810. Married 2nd Fannie Hopkins in Hancock Co., Ga. Hardy Pace born May 11, 1784 Died Nov 17, 1836 married April 2nd 1812, Fannie Hopkins born April 22, 1783 died March 6, 1859. Children of Thomas and Fannie Hopkins were: Thomas, William Rebeccah, James, Cebelle, Martha, Susan. See Graves at Old Family Church at Bullards Station, Twiggs Co. Thomas B. Pace, son of Hardy Pace and Fanny Hopkins, born March 9, 1813 died July 8, 1890, married lst Louise A. Tharp Jany 21, 1840 died March 28, 1848. Children: 2 viz: William and Fannie. Thomas B. Pace married 2nd Catherine McCrea Oct 10, 1864 died Mch 7, 1906. Children of 2nd marriage: 6 - Only five living: Thomas, John, Caraline, Susan and Martha. First Book Marriages Hancock Co., Ga. Hardy Pace - Fannie Hopkins April 12, 1812. EXTRA DATA INCLUDED WITH THIS BIBLE RECORD The lst Richard Pace's Widow, Isabella married 2nd Capt. Willliam Perr of the Counsel. His son and heir, George Pace, married Sarah, Dau. Of Capt. Samuel Maycox. George Pace, son and heir of Richard Pace of Pace's Paine, granted 400 acres of land in the Corporation of James City. Sarah Maycox was daughter of Capt. Samuel Maycox, who was a Cambridge Scholar and Gentleman of Birth, virtue and industry. In March 1617 Govenor Argall requested the authorities in England that Mr. Maycox might be obtained. The Colony was not to enjoy the benefit of his services, for in March 21, 1622 he and four others were killed by the indians on the estate on James River in Price George Co., now called Maycox. Maycox left a daughter, Sarah, as in June 1625, Sarah Neacock aged 2 years and born in Birginia, living in the family of Capt. Roger Smith. She married George Pace. Richard Pace came from Virginia to Bertie Precinct, N.C. where he died. Thomas Pace was born in NC lived in Halifax Co., NC until 1768. He moved to Ga. He was granted 250 acres of land in St. Paols Parish. He was also granted land in Washington Co. He served as an officer in the Rev., was on British Black list as rebel officer. He is on Georgia's Honor Roll. He moved back to Halifax Co., NC and died there in 1795. His widow, Cebelle Mathews Pace married Benjamin Carr and she moved back to Ga bringing Five Pace children with her and she settled in Covington, Ga. Where she died. Thomas B. Pace's lst wife Louise Tharp, was dau. Of John A. Tharp and wife, Louise Gentry. James Pace married Laura Moore in 1849, dau of Samuel Moore and Laura Simmons. Troy G. Holder married Cebella Pace. Troy G. Holder's father was Troy Holder, Mother Mollie Berry. Susan Pace married Kennedy Bullard (dau of) George Bullard and wife, Cynthia Jones. Thomas B. Pace's 2nd wife Catherine McCrea (dau of) Gustavus McCrea and wife, Wealthy Ward. Sarah Frances Holder (dau of) Troy G. Holder and Wife, Cebelle Pace married John Robinson Battles. John Robinson Battles was son of John Battles and wife, Parmelia Brisco. Parmelia Brisco died 1892. She is buried 3 miles from Blackshear, Ga. She came from SC.
