Blewett was born in Anson county, NC, March 12th, 1812. He, with his parents, emigrated to Decatur county, Georgia, in 1833. In April 1834, he united with the Richland Creek church, and was baptized by Elder A. Belcher. In 1835, he was licensed by this church to preach the Gospel... In 1840 he married Miss Malcohn, daughter of Dr. Malcohn, of Gadsden county, Florida, who died soon after. In 1850, he married Mrs. Everett, settled near Thomasville, and gave his time to the service of churches in the country...
