J. D. WYNNE. Mr. John D. Wynne died at his home on Beech street last Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock, April 27. Mr. Wynne was born in Pulaski County and was 73 years old. He has lived in Cochran for 26 years where he has a large circle of relatives and friends. He has never connected himself with any church, but in the last year being very feeble and confined to his home most of the time, his expressions often times led his friends to believe he inclined to the things of God. He seemed always glad to see his daughter's pastor and would ask him to pray at each visit. He was a veteran of the civil war and served as a Confederate soldier. As a husband, father and neighbor, Mr. Wynne will be sadly missed. He leaves a wife and eight children to morn his death: Mr. Mather Wynne, of Eastman, Mrs. Lola Mason, of McRae, Mrs. Fanny Pounds, of Cordele, Messrs. Will, Democrat, Bob and Coley and Miss Nattie Wynne. Mr. Wynne leaves one brother, Mr. H. H. Wynne, and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Allen and Mrs. Lizzie Bolinger. Mrs. Wynne and Miss Nattie are very much beloved by their friends who sympathize with them in their great bereavement. -- Additional Comments: https://www.familysearch.org/library/bo oks/ File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/bleckley/newspapers/deathofm2836gnw.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
