The COCHRAN JOURNAL April 28, 1910
For Representative.
   I ask this nomination at regular democratic 
primary, trusting that each man will vote for 
the candidate best qualified to represent the 
publics
Interest, waiving for that public duty, for 
friendship to me, and grudge against anyone. 
Pledge no man; vote convictions. 
   If the choice fall on me I shall I try to 
deserve the honor of your trust, as elected 
agent, by referring all special measures of 
doubtful approval to a final vote of the 
people.
