MR . NORSWORTHY 
			SERIOUSLY BURNED .
In A Fire Which Destroyed His
		Home Thursday Morning
				              
At Three O’clock-
From the Hawkinsville Dispatch
And News. 
Mr. A. A. Norsworthy, a well known school 
teacher of this county was seriously and 
perhaps fatally burned in a fire which 
destroyed his home in  Mitchell’s district on 
Thursday morning last at three o’clock. 
Mrs. Norsworthy says that when she awoke the 
flames were spreading all over the room 
occupied by Mr. Norsworthy and herself. After 
arousing her husband she made her escape by 
jumping out at the window and thought he would 
follow her but instead of doing so he went into 
the hall, which was then filled with smoke and 
fire, and was horribly burned on the back, 
head, face and hands Indore he finally got out 
at the back door. 
   The cause of the fire is not known hut the 
supposition is that it started from a live coal 
popping out of the hearth on the carpet in the 
room occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Norsworthy or 
from the explosion of an incubator which was 
burning in an adjoining room.
   Mr. and Mrs. Norsworthy lost all their 
household goods and about $135 in currency and 
several pieces of foreign money. Mr. Norsworthy 
was brought to the city as soon as possible 
after the fire and is now under treatment at 
Dr. W. A. Mathews’ sanitarium. 
   Dr. Mathews says that Mr. Norsworthy is 
resting nicely this morning and that his 
condition is much better than he was yesterday.
