                       Mary Lee Allen

 CHESTER--- Mary Lee Allen, 85 of Route 1, died Thursday in a Cochran hospital. 
Born in Bleckley County, she was the widow of Homer Franklin Allen and the 
daughter of the late Coley R. and Leila Arnold Grantham. She was a member of 
Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors: children, 
Dorothy McDaniel and Jimmie Allen, both of Chester, Faye Cannon of Montrose, 
Mary Alice Scarbrough, Carolyn Long, Betty Gurr, and Ed Allen, all of Cochran, 
Charles Allen of Snellville, William Allen of Byron, Billy Ray Allen of Stone 
Mountain, and Tony Allen of Danville; sister and brothers, Martha Itson of 
Pelham, Bernam Grantham of Enigma, and William Grantham of Doerun; 33 
grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

 Services: 3:30pm today in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church, Twiggs 
County. Burial: Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bleckley 
County. Elder Danny Bryant, Elder Franklin Bryant, and Elder Rupert Nobles will 
officiate. Visitation: The family may be contacted at the residence. Fisher 
Funeral Home in Cochran has charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Mary Lee was born 22 Sep 1907. Georgia death certificate #003786. Her parents 
are also buried at Trail Branch.
