Barlow Funeral services for Reuben L. Barlow of Carment Place, who died in a local hospital at 7:35a.m. Tuesday after a brief illness will be held in Cary Baptist Church at 4pm Wednesday. The Rev. John Lowe will officiate nd burial will be in Cary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mathis Davis, Hubert Martin,Earl Hamrick, James Hamrick, Dual Dixon and Henry Holliday. Barlow, machinist for the Cherokee Brick Company was born in Bleckley County, son of Frank Barlow and Mrs. Ida Crump Barlow and had lived in Macon for 16 months coming from Jeffersonville. He was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Masonic Lodge of Jeffersonville. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Maude Howell, Macon; a son, Willard Barlow, Macon; a daughter, Mrs. J.R. Hamrick, Macon; one grandchild; three brothers, Jack, J.S. and Bob Barlow Cochran; five sisters, Miss Lavotia Barlow and Mrs. B.B. DeFore, Macon; Mrs. Carrie Purser, Mrs. Grady Maynard and Miss Naomi Barlow of Cochran; several nieces and nephews. Hart's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. Additional Comments: Reuben L. Barlow was born 3-9-1902 and died 5-18-1948 (Ga DC# 9531). His wife, Maude (maiden name Howell) Barlow was born 1-3-1905 and died 2-12-2001. Both are buried at Mount Calvary.
