                            Henry E. Bridges

 COCHRAN--- Services for the Rev. Henry E. Bridges will be at 3pm today in 
Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bridges, 94, 
died Sunday, July 13, 1997, in a Cochran nursing home. The son of the late West 
and Cindy English Bridges, he was born in Laurens County but lived most of his 
life in Bleckley County. A Coast Guard veteran, he was retired from Paulk 
Lumber Company and as minister of Freewill Baptist Church. He was a member of 
Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.

 Survivors include his wife, Anna Padget Bridges; daughter, Loline O'Neal of 
Cochran; brother and sister, Ben Bridges of Allentown and Sara Lizzy Slaughter 
of Dublin; five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-
great-grandchildren.

 The family may be contacted at 905 Crest Drive. Fisher Funeral Home has charge 
of arrangements.
