Mrs. Annie Pearl (maiden name Darsey) NeSMITH Chance was born 7-31-1902 and died
2-7-1978 (GA DC# 003922) and is buried at Bleckley-Pulaski Memorial gardens in
Bleckley County. her parents, John Tom Darsey and Amanda "Mandy" Frances Starley
are both buried at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodge County.

Mrs. Annie Pearl Darsey Chance

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Pearl Darsey Chance, 75, of Pecan Grove Apts,
Cochran, who died Tuesday night in the Bleckley County Hospital following a
brief illness were held Friday at 2:00PM in the Southside Baptist Church with
Rev. George Roland and Rev. W. E. Flanders officiating. Burial was in
Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chance, a native of Dodge County, had lived in Cochran for the past 50
years. She was a housewife and member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors are five sons, Thomas F. NeSmith of Brunswick, Fred NeSmith of Tulsa,
Oklahoma, W. J. Chance of Stewarton, Pennsylvania, Albert J. NeSmith and John C.
Chance, both of Cochran; five daughters, Mrs. Florine Tucker of Alapaha,
Georgia, Mrs. Margie Davis of Tifton, Mrs. Bennie Darsey of Cochran, Mrs.
Clinton Adkins of Hawkinsville, and Miss Mary Chance of Jeffersonville; one
brother, Bennie Darsey of Cochran; two sisters, Mrs. D. T. Roland of Bradenton,
Florida and Mrs. J. B. Floyd of Cochran; 26 grandchildren and a number of
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Keith Darsey, Otis Darsey, Sonny Darsey, John Lee Floyd,
Mitchell Arnold, and Leon "Bo" Darsey.
Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
