Dykes St., died Saturday in a local hospital. Born in Bleckley County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lula Dunn Abney and was the widow of George Chapman Cranford. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors: children, George Albert Cranford of Macon, Robert J. Cranford of Cochran, and Charlie F. Cranford of Glenwood; sisters, Florene A. Sapp, Lorene A. Atkins, Eva A. Johnson, Susie A. Abney, and Hazel A. Dominy, all of Cochran and Ruby Bethune of Warner Robins; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 11 step great-grandchildren. Services: today in Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Buford Raffield will officiate. Visitation: The family may be contacted at the residence of Robert Cranford, Eastman Highway, Cochran. Fusher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
