CALLON DAVIS DIES AFTER LONG FEEBLENESS Friends of the family of Mrs. Callon Davis, grieve with them in the passing of this good Christian woman who succumbed March 12th at the home of a son, Willie F. Davis. She was 71 years of age and lived a useful life, but the sunset of her days had come, but she was ready to go meet her master. The entire community was left sad because of her death. She was known and loved by all that knew her. She seem to attract people and always carried a smile and pleasant word for those about her. The funeral was held Saturday morning at Bethany church with Rev. A. L. Caldwell officiating. T. W. Fisher & Son were funeral directors in charge of arrangements. The survivors are three sons, W. F. Davis, Cochran, O. W. and Felton Davis, Andersonville; two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Churchwell and Mrs. I. C. Thompson, both of Cochran; and seventeen grandchildren. The pallbearers were: C. A. Johnson, L. Little, Cecil Hall, W. H. Grinstead, Olin Johnson, and J. G. Wilder. Additional Comments: Carolyn was born 15 Oct 1870. Her husband was William T. Davis who is also buried at Bethany.
