                            William L. Davis
 Funeral services for William L. Davis, 53, of 606 Oak Street, who was dead at 
his residence Monday morning were held at 3:00 o'clock Wednesday in the Chapel 
of Mathis Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating. Burial was in 
the Cool Springs Cemetery in Twiggs County.
 Mr. Davis, the son of the late William Henry and Mary Scarborough Davis, was 
a life long resident of Bleckley County. He was a veteran of World War II and 
a retired civil service employee of Robins Air Force Base.
 Survivors are two brothers, Herman Davis of Cochran and John Davis of Macon; 
two sisters, Fleta Jones of Cochran and Mrs. Grace Willingham of Charlotte, 
NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 Pallbearers werre Rube Jones, Billy Jones, Pete Davis, Buddy Davis, Bobby 
Davis, Billy Holland, Delacy Jones, and Ray Jones.
 Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
