                        Johnny Robert Davis

 Funeral services for Johnny Robert Davis, age 34, of 506 Ash Street, Cochran, 
who died Friday morning, November 23, 1979, were held Sunday at 3:00pm in the 
chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with Dr. Clarence Knight officiating. Burial was 
in the Antioch Cemetery in Bleckley County.

 Mr. Davis was a life-long resident of Bleckley County and was employed by the 
Uchee Trail Country Club as a grounds keeper.

 Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Rosa Powell Davis of Cochran; two sisters, Mrs. 
Mary Bryant of Chester and Mrs. Linda Giddens of Cochran; two brothers, Edward 
Davis and Joe Davis, both of Cochran; and a number of nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers were Dewey Brown, Jerry Peacock, Mack Grantham, Dean Bolinger, 
Junior Rozier, and Roger Allen.

 Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Johnny was born 10 Dec 1944 to Theo Edward Davis Sr. and Rosa Pearl Powell 
Davis. Georgia death certificate #040789.
