                         Rosa Powell Davis

 EASTMAN---Rosa Powell Davis, 70, died Monday in a local hospital.

 Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

 A native of Laurens County, Mrs. Davis lived in Cochran most of her life. She 
was the daughter of the late John Powell and Lucinda Dorsey Powell and the 
widow of Theo Edward Davis. She was a member of Antioch Baptust Church.

 Survivors include two sons, Joe Davis of Chester and Edward Davis of Macon; a 
daughter, Mary D. Bryant of Chester; three sisters, Veneree P. McFarland of 
Atlanta, Lillie Mae P. Murphy of Irwinton, and Cora P. Edge of Hawkinsville; 
and nine grandchildren.

 The family will greet friends from 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

 Adams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
