Dillard, 76, of Route 3 Cochran, who died early Wednesday morning in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital following an illness of three weeks, were held Thursday afternoon at the Macedonia Baptist Church. The services were conducted by Rev. Andy McHolan, Rev. John Autry, and Rev. Graham Bowen. Burial was in the family lot in the Macedonia Cemetery. Mr. Dillard was a lifelong resident of Blackley County, a retired farmer, and a member and Deacon of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Howard Dillard, Aaron Dillard, and Robert Dillard, all of Cochran; four daughters, Mrs. Morris Bryant of Dexter, Mrs. John Martin of Dudley, Mrs. E. T. Mullis of Cochran, and Mrs. Claxton Jones of Lawrenceville; seventeen grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. The active pallbearers were: Ralph Hosford, Carl Hosford, Bobby Shepard, Raymonf Holland, Johnnie Dykes, and Bennie dykes. The honorary pallbearers were: Rev. A. J. Tidwell, Woodrow Dykes, Melvin Shepard, Knox Braswell, John Edge, Robert Lewis, Columbus Hosford, June E. Holland, Lee Giddens, and J. O. Giddens. Fisher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
