Born in Bleckley County, he was the son of the late Charlie Ross Evans Sr. and the late Beulah Howell Evans, was a retired foreman of ConChemCo Mobile Homes of Macon, was the owner of Cochran Mobile Home Supplies, was a member of the Cary Hunting Club, and was a Baptist. Survivors: wife, Gladys H. Evans of Cochran; children, Carolyn Byram, Brenda Purser, Fred Evans, W. L. Evans, and Eddie Evans, all of Cochran; sister and brothers, Anna Liza Mullis of Macon, Steve Evans of Cochran, and J. R. Evans of Vienna; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services: 2:30pm Sunday in Salem Baptist Church, Bleckley County. Burial: in the church cemetery. The Rev. Billy Vaughn will officiate. Visitation: 7 until 9 tonight in Fisher Funeral Home, Cochran.
