The negro had threatened to whip the young boy. Mr Fordham was said to be about fifty five or sixty years of age. He went to the home of Grenstead to complete his job, and also told him he was going to kill him. He made some attempt to do so and Grenstead shot him in the head and again through the brain killing him instantly. The negro worked several days for Mr. Arnold Bellflower, he told him his home was up on Longstreet, he also said that he had a family up there. Inquest was held Saturday and Mr. Fordham was burried. This occurred on W. J. Tripp’s place near Younkers, Ga.
