The Cochran Journal, Sept. 26, 1983

	Funeral services for Mr. Joe Frank Grant, 96, of Fort Deposit, Alabama, who
died Wednesday, September 21, 1983, were held Friday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m.
at Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Flynn Gregory and Rev. Don Harris officiating.

	Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Laura Stokes of Fort Deposit,
Alabama, Mrs. Leila Grant Stokes of Cochran, Georgia and Mrs. Emmie Foster of
Fort Deposit, Alabama; two sons, Frank Grant of Fort Deposit, Alabama and Calvin
Grant of New Brockton, Alabama.  Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 25
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
	Pallbearers were Tom Stokes, Benny Stokes, Harold Stokes, Hansel Stokes, Virgil
Stokes, Joel Stokes, Steve Grant and Craig Grant.
	Jones Funeral Home of Greenville, Alabama, was in charge of the arrangements.

He was from Alabama but had family in Bleckley County Georgia.  So his obituary
was in the Bleckley County News.
