                       ROBERT WYNDELL "BOB" HELMS 
 McLEANSVILLE - Pastor Robert Wyndell Helms, 73, beloved husband, father and 
pastor, passed from this life to his heavenly home Friday, March 17, 2000. 
Pastor Helms' funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2000, at Forbis 
and Dick North Elm Chapel, with Pastor Allen Lee, Pastor Robby Faircloth and 
Pastor Pete Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. 
Robert Wyndell Helms was born in Cochran, Ga., March 18, 1927, to the late 
Joseph Edward and Faustine Burch Helms. He had lived in Guilford County for 42 
years, where he was pastor of Omega Christian Ministries for 26 years. Mr. 
Helms was formerly the sales manager of Loman Garrett Supply, president of 
Helms and Associates and office manager of Heat Transfer Sales. 
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva Johnson Helms of the home; two 
daughters, Lynn Helms Shelton of Clayton and Cynthia Helms Bridges and 
husband, Robert of Greensboro; and six grandchildren, Christy, Chris, Phillip, 
Joshua, Elizabeth and David. 
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2000, at 
Forbis and Dick North Elm Street.
