(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 6, 2013, 2:33 pm The Cochran Journal 2-22-1984 Page 9 Mr. Herbert Hinson Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Hinson, 77 of Rt. 1 Chester, who died Friday Feb. 17, 1984 were held at 4:30pm Sunday at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Asbell, Rev. James Howard Mills, and Rev. Elbert Powell officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hinson was a life long resident of Bleckley County, the son of the late Will and Georgia Ann Howell Hinson. He was member of Salem Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Myrtle Hatcher Hinson of Chester; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Fordham of Rt. 1 Chester and Mrs. Elizabeth Beck of Cochran; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mr. Glen Wynn, Mr. Simon Allen, Mr. Hughlon Davis. Mr. John Douglas, Mr. Howard Bryan, Mr. Roger Hatcher, and Mr. Michael Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. George Powell, Mr. Harley Davidson, Mr. Marvin Jarrell, Mr. Delany Lucas, Mr. Jack Lucas, Mr. Ralph Smith, Mr. Jimmy Perry Jr., Mr. Emmett Kitchens, Mr. Robert Brimsley. Mr. Ray Jones, and Mr. Marvin Garrett. Fisher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Herbert was born 11 Nov 1906. Georgia death certificate #005136.
