Funeral services for Mr. 
W. A. "Billy" Holland, 
84, of Cochran who died 
Wednesday, January 9, 
2013 at his residence 
will be held at 11:00 
A.M. on Saturday in the 
Chapel of Fisher Funeral 
Home with Rev. Randy 
Carnley officiating. 
Burial will be in Cedar 
Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Holland was a 
lifelong resident of 
Bleckley County, the son 
of the late Robert 
Herman Holland, Sr. and 
Louise Nobles Holland. 
He was the widower of 
Clementine Graham 
Holland. He was the 
retired owner and 
operator of W.A. Holland 
Grocery Store.
He was a veteran of the 
U.S. Army having served 
during W.W. II and an 
avid fisherman and 
hunter. He was a member 
of Cochran First United 
Methodist Church. He was 
preceded in death by a 
son, Andy Holland and a 
grandson, Phillip 
Holland.

Survivors include three 
daughters, Wannie H. 
Meeks and Mary Beth H. 
Parker, both of Cochran 
and Sue (Barry) 
McClendon of Tucson, 
Arizona; brother, R.H. 
"Bobby" Holland of 
Monticello; 
grandchildren, Amy 
Bates, Tammy Yearty, 
Andrea Giddens, Joey 
Moore, Beth Tyson, 
Michelle Leary, Corye 
Blagg and Garrison 
Blagg; 12 great 
grandchildren; 1 great 
great grandchild.

The family will meet 
friends following the 
service on Saturday and 
may be contacted at the 
residence.
