His wife, Callie Virginia Davidson Howell, is also buried there. His parents were Daniel H. Howell Sr. and Martha Unknown. From The Cochran Journal 2-1-1940 FINAL RITES HELD FOR MR. Wm. T. HOWELL Mr. William Thomas Howell, age 79 years, died at his home Tuesday morning following a short illness since Saturday. He was a farmer and interested in the welfare of his county. He was always foremost in all questions pertaining to church and school matters. He will be missed for his influence and gentle, quite manner, who always used equilibrium. The county has lost one of her best citizens in the death of this splendid man. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Elijah Maddox officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery. A large assembly of friends and relatives were present at the last rites, and the flowers were in great quanity, representing the high esteem in which he was held. Surviving are his widow; three sons, Willie, Kimberly, and Ollie Howell; five daughters, Mrs. J. T. Reeves, Mrs. T. J. Floyd, Mrs. J. D. Shepard, Mrs. O. J. Gulledge and Mrs. I. B. Roland, all of Bleckley County. The pallbearers were: Nathan Coleman, Melvin Sheppard, Quinton Sheppard, Tenal Floyd, Ernest Coleman, and Barney McKinnon.
