(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 6, 2013, 6:13 pm The Cochran Journal 3-27-1930 Front Page Body of Mrs. Jameson Brought to Cary The name of another good woman, Mrs. W. L. Jameson rings out in the ears of many friends who grieve because of her death which occurred Saturday, Mar 22nd at Smyrna, Ga. Mrs. Jameson was 52 years of age and was a resident of Bleckley County for about 25 years. She was a widow of the late Dr. W. L. Jameson, practicing physician of Bleckley County, who preceded her to the grave 14 months ago. After his death in Dec. 1928, and that of her only son, Earl Jameson in May 1929, she moved to Alpharetta where she resided at the time of her death. Due to her critical condition, she was placed in a sanitorium at Smyrna, where she succumbed. A better woman than Mrs. Jameson is rarely ever seen. She was patient and gentle, bearing all of her hardships with the assurance of reaping a brighter reward in the heavenly beyond. No one ever spoke anything but good of this departed soul. The body was brought to Cary Sunday morning, where funeral services were conducted from the church Sunday at noon by Dr. Frank Cochran. Interment was in the church cemetery. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Charlie Denmark of Atlanta and Miss Lillian Jameson of Alpharetta; her aged mother, Mrs. Wills, who is 85 years of age; three brothers, Messers. Berry, Jim, and Harrison Wills, all of Alpharetta; and one sister of Texas. A number of friends and relatives accompanied the body to Cary Sunday for the last funeral rites, which were observed in the presence of a large assembly.
