8.	W.L. “Bill” Lyles
    July 19, 1924 – June 02, 2010
       VETERAN OF the US ARMY

     Cochran –at age 85, Mr. W.L. “Bill” 
Lyles, died Wednesday in the Crescent 
Ridge Nursing Home in Eastman. Funeral 
services will be held Saturday at 2:00 
P.M. in Tabernacle Baptist Church. 
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Baptist 
Church Cemetery.
     Mr. Lyles, was the son of the late 
Sherman Hampton and Nellie Nobles Lyles 
plus he had lived in Bleckley County all 
his life. 
     Leaving behind his wife, Willa 
Pipkin Lyles of Cochran; his son Billy 
Lyles of Cochran; a daughter, Diane 
Pritchett of Cochran; Two sisters, Jewel 
(Ralph) Bathoon of Savannah and Ethel 
(Doc) Frost of Macon; grandsons, Jason 
Lyles, Chris Lyles and Shane Lyles of 
Cochran; four great grandchildren.
     The family is at 831 Cary-Salem 
Road. The family has decided to meet 
with friends at Mathis Funeral Home on 
Friday from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
