S. Sapp was born March 14th,1870 and died May 29th,1925 at the age of 55 years. She was confined to her bed for two weeks with pneumonia. All medical aid failed. The faithfulness to mother and the good work of Drs. W. C. Williams and A. L. Smith will always be an evergreen memory in the hearts of the family. She is survived by her husband, C. S. Sapp; four daughters, Mrs. W. R. Jarrells, Mrs. J. H. Tripp, Mrs. J. M. Kitchen, and Nora Sapp; three sons, Morgan, George, and Vinson Sapp; five brothers, Henry, Jim, William, Marshall, and Russell Thompson; and two sisters, Mrs. H. Z. Dunn and Mrs. E. S. Sapp. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hulett, pastor of Empire Baptist Church. The following songs were sung: "Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus" and " I Am Going Home To Die No More". The pallbearers were J. F. Newman, Charlie Wise, J. B. Porter, Joe Meadows, and H. J. Abney. The golden gates were opened wide: An angel voice said come; Welcomed our love one home; We miss thee from our home dear mother; We miss thee from thy place; A shadow over our life is cast; We miss the sunshine of thy face; We miss thy kind and willing hand; We miss thy fond and earnest care; We miss thee everywhere; WRITTEN by two heart-broken daughters, Lizzie and Nora Additional Comments: Tabitha's parents were Elihu Thompson and Elizabeth Berryhill Thompson.
