Lilia Pearl (maiden name Howell) Shepard was born 8-19-1898 and died 2-12-1988
(GA DC# 010262) and is buried at Union Hill Cemetery in Bleckley County. Her
husband John D. Shepard is also buried there. Her parents, William Thomas Howell
and Callie Virginia Davidson Howell are buried at Trail Branch Primitive Baptist
Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

COCHRAN---Pearl Howell Shepard, 89, of Route 1 died Friday in a Hawkinsville
hospital.
Services will be held at 3PM Sunday in Southside Baptist Church in Cochran.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Bleckley County. The Revs. Clyde Evans
and W. E. Flanders will officiate.
A native of Bleckley County, Mrs. Shepard was a homemaker and a member of
Southside Baptist Church and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Survivors include four daughters, Aberline Moore, Althia Purcer, Opal Skipper,
and Merlyn Brady, all of Cochran; three sons, Wendell Shepard of Cochran, Melvin
Shepard of Chester, and Quenton Shepard of Palatka, Fla.; a sister, Odea Roland
of Cochran; two brothers, Kim Howell and Ollie Howell, both of Cochran; 14
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be placed in the church an hour before services.
The family will gret friends from 7 to 9 tonight in Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Wendell Shepard, Route 5,
College Estates, Cochran.
