(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net July 2, 2012, 7:23 pm The Cochran Journal 7-7-1976 Page 13 Daniel Lee Skipper Funeral services for Daniel Lee Skipper, 41, of Route 1, who died Saturday morning in the Medical Center of Central Georgia following a long illness were held at 3:00 Monday in the Chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stallings and Rev. Richard Purser officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Skipper was a native of Laurens County but had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was a retired civil service employee of Robins Air Force Base. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Paulette Horne Skipper; two daughters, Miss Rhonda Skipper and Miss Kelly Skipper, both of Cochran; his mother, Mrs. Mary Lola Skipper of Cochran; two brothers, Reuben Skipper of Macon and Robert Skipper of Cochran; one half brother, T. J. Skipper of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Manning and Mrs. J. Horace Sanders, both of Cochran. Pallbearers were Randall Barron, Jimmy Mullis, Billy Sirmons, William Knighton, Willie B. Coley, and William Smith. Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Daniel Lee was born 5 Dec 1934 to Tullie Jefferson Skipper and Mary Lola Thompson. Georgia death certificate #109940.
