Services will be held at 4pm today in Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran. Burial will be in Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County. The Rev. Paul Jones and Elder Danny Bryant will officiate. A lifelong resident of Bleckley County, Mr. Skipper was a retired employee of the Crown Central Petroleum Co. He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Yuratha B. Skipper; three daughters, Fleeta Steele of Warner Robins and Rita Brown and Rebecca Purvis, both of Cochran; two sons, Ronnie Mullis and Stevephen Mullis, both of Cordele; a stepdaughter, Kim Roberts of Cochran; a stepson, Wade Roberts of Hawkinsville; a sister, Estelle Hinson of Cochran; two brothers, Eugene Skipper and Holland Skipper, both of Cochran; and nine grandchildren. The family may be contacted at the residence of J. W. Hinson, Route 3, Bass- Mullis Road, Cochran. Additional Comments: D. W. was born 28 Jan 1935 to Herbert "Skinny" Skipper and Nettie Mullis Skipper. He was married to Reba Elizabeth Floyd Mullis as well. Georgia death certificate #032065.
