A. Slaughter. Mr. R. A. Slaughter, a former esteemed citizen of Cochran, who moved from here to Bartow, Fla., some eight years ago, and afterwards moved from Bartow to Tampa, died At the latter place last Tuesday. His remains arrived here at 1:40 am Thursday. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 10:30 a. m. and he was buried in Weeping Pine cemetery just before noon. Uncle Bob Slaughter, ‘as he was familiarly known among his friends, was a good man. He was a loyal and devoted member of the Methodist church, and had many friends. One of his special characteristics, was industry. He believed in working. If half the people had uncle Bod’s energy this world would move. His son, J.. E. Slaughter, From Jacksonville, Fla., and his Son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kin Partin, of Dublin attend his funeral.
