Cyril L. Sweat, 60, died Sunday at a Jacksonville
hospital. 

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak
Grove Baptist Church, 5200 Cedar Point Road,
Jacksonville, with the Revs. Jim Matthews and David H.
Beckham officiating. 

The graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in
Whitaker Hill Cemetery near Waynesville with the Rev.
Mitch Thompson officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday at the North Jacksonville Chapel of Peeples
Family Funeral Homes. 

Survivors include his wife, JoAn Sweat of Jacksonville;
two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Sherry Sweat
of Bryceville, Fla., and John Dahlke of Jacksonville; a
daughter, Lorelei Willoughby of Atlantic Beach, Fla.;
three sisters and brothers-in-law, Crystle and Harold
Holland of Townsend, Faith and Robert Gibson of
Hortense and Elsie "Elaine" and Jay Buckhalter of
Sylvester; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Conrad
"Sonny" and Nancy Sweat of Delphi, Ind., Clinton and
Joan Sweat of Waynesville and Neil and Linda Sweat and
Beryl and Darlene Sweat, all of Hortense; four
grandchildren, Cale and Colby Sweat of Bryceville and
Kayla and Autumn Willoughby of Atlantic Beach; and
several nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Sweat was a native of Jacksonville and a U.S. Army
veteran. He enjoyed fishing and antique cars,
especially Studebaker Avanti. He was a member of Oak
Grove Baptist Church.
