Middle Ga. Argus – Week of  January 27, 1881
Mr. Redding Wilkins of North Carolina who was overseer on Wood’s turpentine 
farm, near Ousley, Brooks County, was killed last week by Green Foster, a 
Negro, workman, who planted an axe to the helve of Wilkins back between the 
shoulders.
