Georgia News Notes

Quitman – Judge J.O.M. Horton died at the age of 92.  He was the oldest bank 
president in the United States.  He had been president of the Bank of Quitman 
for 15 years.  He was one of the organizers of this, the first bank in the 
county.  He was present at all directors’ meetings up to last week.  He had 
arranged for his going, even to setting aside a designated sum for his funeral.
