Saturday 18 Sep 1880
Died in Quitman on the 20th instant at 4 o’clock a.m. of malarial or hemorrhagic
fever, Mr. John A McMILLAN.  No young man in the community was more universally
popular than John McMILLAN and his death casts a gloom over our people.  He
leaves a young and devoted wife to whom he had been married but a short time. 
He was buried at the John McMULLEN place on Monday evening last.
