QUITMAN FREE PRESS Friday August 3, 1917
Mr Joel MORRIS of Ashville, Florida died last Saturday.  He was eighty seven 
years old. He was born 03 Mar 1830 at Ashville.  His father was John E MORRIS.  
He married first Rebecca HENDERSON of Brooks County in 1854 and by her he 
had six children:  Mrs B D McFARLAND, Mrs W W WALKER, John E MORRIS.  
She, the wife died in 1868.  He married secondly Mrs Mary A McMULLEN in 1877.  
She died in 1886.  The stepdaughter's name was Mrs J W THRASHER.  Her father 
was John McMULLEN.
