Charley Louis Gibson  ,
Mr. Charley Louis. Gibson of  Quitman died Tuesday;December 8, 1998, following 
a lengthy  i11ness. He was 73.
- Mr. Gibson was born August .l7, 1925, in.Buccatuna, MS, the son of Frank and 
Lola Gibson.
_ Mr, Gibson served in the Navy before entering and graduating from Livingston 
University and Peabody College.   He was employed by Holmes County, FL, Board 
of Education, Pulaski County Board of Education and Irwin County Board of 
Education, where he retired in 1982. He was a member of Ocilla United Methodist 
church. He was active in scouting and little league baseball.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Gibson of Valdosta and Clay Gibson of Lake 
Park; three sisters, Doris Lisenbee of Bailey,MS, Clara Ozment of Livingston, 
AL, and Susie Kate Gibson of Butler, AL, and one brother, Tobia Gibson of 
Butler, AL.
	Services for the family were held Wednesday, December 9, at Carson 
McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Soper , officiating.
