Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, and Sarah Salter Triggs or Rice of Bryan County and State aforesaid, Planters, of the one part, and James Martin ?Senior of the other part of Bryan County - WITNESSETH that the said Archibald Thompson and we the several heirs, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars well and truly paid in hand by the said James Martin at or before the sealing and delivering of these Presents, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; the said Archibald Thompson and we the several heirs, have granted, bargained, and sold, aliened, released and confirmed, and by these Presents do grant, bargain, alien, release and confirm unto the said James Martin, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of Land situated, laying and being in the County of Bryan in the State aforesaid, containing two hundred and fifty acres in the same more or less, bounded on all sides by vacant land at the time of survey form and mark referal to the plat and grant [which??] will more fully and at large appear, together with all and singular, the houses, [lands??] buildings, Improvements, Rents, leases, profits, priviledges, commodities, and all the rights, titles, Interests, benefits and demands whatsoever to the said James Martin, and all appertaining, to have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the premises above mentioned, with them and every of their rights, members, appurtenances, together with all and singular workings, touching, or in any wise concerning the same or any Part thereof, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said James Martin, his heirs, and assigns forever, and I the said Archibald Thompson, and we the several heirs do forever warrant and defend against ourselves and heirs and assigns forever, the said tract of Land and premises above mentioned and all and every part thereof, unto the said James Martin, his heirs and assigns forever, and I the said Archibald Thompson singular, do warrant and forever defend the said tract of Land from all person or persons, whatsoever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and date above written. Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, Archibald Thompson, and Richmond Rice, sign, seal, and deliver the within instrument of writing to James Martin for the within named purposes and also said Samuel L Martin subscribe his name as a witness with him.
