The native of Bryan County had lived in Savannah 22 years and was a member of the Holy Church of God. Surviving are two sons, Charles Craig Phillips of Savannah and William D. Phillips of Richmond Hill; five daughters - Mrs. Josie Freeman of Early Branch, SC, Mrs. Alice Morgan of Anaheim, CA, Mrs. Lula Sikes of Richmond Hill, and Mrs. Bobbie Boatright and Mrs. Pauline Kersey, both of Savannah; a step-daughter, Mrs. Pansy Chester of Savannah; a brother, Olan Carter of Baxley; four sisters - Mrs. Esther Ferrell, Mrs. Olive Findley and Mrs. Lucille Ferrell, all of Richmond Hill, and Mrs. Ida Bashlor of Collins; and 21 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Church of God, with burial in Bryan Neck Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Keller. Irvine Henderson Funderal Home is in charge.
