Nevils Creek- St. Mary’s Baptist Church

1890, July 19--- This Indenture made between William H. Blitch unto the 
Trustees viz: Osbern C. Collins, Adam Coleman, Alford H. Harris of Saint Marys 
Baptist Church, all of Bulloch County.  For and in consideration of the 
agreement hereinafter, for the sum of $1 Dollar, as given, granted and 
conferred the following described land upon which a church has been built known 
as the Saint Marys Baptist Church 
Containing 1 acre to be cut off from a tract of land known as the W.C. Brown 
place, said acre bounded South by the Public Road in front of said church, said 
road to be the line, West by Nevils Creek , the run of said creek to be the 
line and on all other sides by W.H. Blitch.  The line to begin at the run or 
channel of Nevils Creek and the Public Road where the bridges cross said creek, 
below said church 20 yards.  The 1 acre of land herein and hereby conveyed is 
to be occupied as a church only of the same denomination known as “Missionary 
Baptist”.  The same not to be used for any other purpose, only as a place of 
divine worship.
