Blitch 1898, May 7--- This Indenture made between J.G. Blitch unto B.T. Outland, G.S. Johnson, B.E. Turner, E.S. Smith, M.M. Holland, A.J. Wimberly, J.A. Fulcher, D.B. Turner and C.W. Enneis, Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South at Statesboro, Georgia, all of Bulloch County. Witnesseth that the said J.G. Blitch for and in consideration of the sum of $1399 dollars, hath granted and conveyed unto said Trustees a parcel of land lying in the town of Statesboro containing 1 acre and bounded as follows; North by Statesboro Methodist Church and Church Street; East by South main street; South and West by Mrs. Cora B. Williams, this being the same land conveyed by N.H. Blitch to J.G. Blitch by deed dated April 9, 1894 and recorded in Book “U” folio 608 of Bulloch County records; September 8, 1897 the same restrictions to locating buildings on said land as given in said deed apply to this conveyance. In trust nevertheless, that said lot of land shall be kept, used, maintained and disposed of as a place of divine worship and as a place of residence for the use of the Ministry and membership.
