Edward’s Place-Ogeechee River

1889, February 11--- This Indenture made between Hiram M. Glison unto William 
Lellant (McClellant),
both parties being from Bulloch County.  Witnesseth: that the said parties 
hereto are owners in common of a certain parcel of land to wit: a certain tract 
of land lying in the 47th District Georgia Militia, known as the Edward’s Place 
butting and bounding Jesse P. Williams, William H.C., John Grimes and the 
Ogeechee River, containing 822 acres to partition into 2 equal parts.  Each of 
the owners thereof shall have the title to and possession of his share on the 
11th day of December last past by William Hearn and William Cone and Remer H. 
Cone a surveyor, partitioned into 2 equal parts to wit: commencing at a stake 
in the line opposite the said Ogeechee River (said corner being South 15 
degrees East 34 chains & 50 links from the corner in Cany Branch, furthers from 
the said river) running thence North 80 degrees East 70 chains and 90 links to 
a Post oak near the river road; thence North 72 degrees East to the said 
Ogeechee River.  The lower of the said 2 tracts or tract lying towards the 
mouth of said river was assigned to the said Hiram M.Glison and the upper tract 
lying towards the source of said river to the said William McCllellant ( 
Lellant) and whereas the parties there to deserve to confirm said partition and 
assignment.
