This Indenture made this fourth day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand 
eight hundred and nineteen between John Goodman Sheriff of Bulloch County of 
the One part and Jacob Nevill of the other part Witnesseth that I the said John 
Goodman Sheriff as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of thirty 
dollars to him hand paid hath bargained sold and Conveyed and by the powers in 
me Vested as Sheriff aforesaid and of an Execution Issuing from as Justices for 
said County wherein Cloe Thomas is plaintiff and Thomas Green defendant and by 
the presents do bargain sell and convey unto Jacob Nevill all the Claim which 
Thomas Green held to a certain tract of land lying on the waters of Lotts Creek 
Containing three hundred and fifty acres more or less this day sold at public 
sale or outcry and the said Jacob Nevill being the highest bidder the same was 
struck of off to him at the sum of thirty dollars together with all the claims 
which the same was held by the said Thomas Green before the selling the same by 
public sale under the aforesaid Execution and I the said Sheriff do warrant the 
same so far as I am authorized sell and make rights to the said claim of 
land .  In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the eighth day of May 
1819.
