Whereas;  Abraham L. Kirkland, Administrator of all the estate, real & personal 
of Irwin Kirkland, late of Bulloch County (dec.), did publish and apply to 
obtain leave from the Inferior Court of Bulloch County while sitting for 
ordinary purposes to sell 4 tracts of land of said deceased, did publish the 
sale of said real estate and din on the 6th day of February, 1844, whereon John 
Kirkland of Bulloch County did offer the sum of $100 dollars, being the highest 
bidder.
Therefore this Indenture then made  & entered into this 6th day of February, 
1844 between the said administrator and the said Irwin Kirkland. and assigned 
all the parcel of land containing  1900 acres, it being in 4 surveys and 
surveyed by Benjamin Lanier lying on the waters of Great Lotts Creek whereon 
the said Irwin Kirkland now lives.
[Written in the margin]  It appears that someone changed the name “John” 
to “Irwin” in this deed and I think “John” is correct.  See deed from Benjamin 
Lanier to John Kirkland on pages 53 &54, this book and then see deed from Irwin 
Kirkland to Sarah A. Kirkland recorded in pages 57 & 58, this book.  Also see 
Minute Book X pages 271-2 in Ordinary’s Office.

1844, February 19--- This Indenture made between Irwin Kirkland unto Sarah A. 
Kirkland, both of Bulloch County.  For and in consideration of the sum of $230 
dollars, hath conveyed all that tract of land containing 1700 acres lying on 
the Waters of Lotts Creek.

Georgia		   1846, November 18--This Indenture made between  John S. 
Kirkland and Sarah Ann Emanuel County	   Kirkland of Bulloch County unto 
Abner Sutton of Emanuel County.  For and in 			   
consideration of the sum  $200 dollars, hath granted and conveyed all that 
tract or parcel of land containing 1780 acres on the Waters of Big Lotts Creek, 
bounded by Jackson Woods and Joshua Woods and others, all Granted to Benjamin 
Lanier and unto Abner Sutton.

Georgia		   1847, February 17-- This Indenture made between Abner Sutton 
unto James J. Woods, Emanuel County	   both of  Bulloch County.   For and 
in consideration of the sum of $150 dollars, hath 
		   sell, convey and assign all that parcel of land lying on the 
Waters of Big Lotts Creek, containing 1780 acres, bounded by James J. Woods and 
Joshua Woods, all originally granted to Benjamin Lanier.
