Indenture between Abraham Lane and Scull Creek Baptist Church 17 Aug 1805

DEED BOOK AA, P. 111

This indenture made the 27th day of August in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five and in the thir-
tieth  year of American Independence.  Between Abraham S. Lane
Planter of the State of Georgia and County of Bulloch of the one
part and the Commissioners of the Scull Creek Baptist Church
To wit: John Richardson, Shadrack? Scarborough and Samuel
Scarborough and their Successors in Office, planters of the State
aforesaid and Counties of Bulloch and Burk of the other
part. Witnessed that the Said Abraham S. Lane for and in
consideration of the Sum of L? dollars to him in hand paid by
the Said Commissioners the receipt whereof the ? Abraham S.
Lane doth hereby acknowledge he the Said Abraham S. Lane
hat granted bargained and Sold and by these presents 
do grant bargain and Sell unto the said Commissioners and their
disciples in Office forever five acres of land being in the said
County of Bulloch near where the Said Land now lies butting
and bordering on all Sides by lands of said Abraham S. Lane 
all improvements commodities advantages ___________________
and appurtenances whatsoever to the Said land above mentioned
belonging or in anyways appertaining to have and to old all
and Singular the premises? above mentioned and every part there
of with the appurtenances unto the said Commissioners and their
successors in office forever and the said Abraham S. Lane for
him and his heris the Said _________ and premises and every part
thereof against him and his heirs to the said Commissioners
and their successors in office. Shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents to the said commissioners
to with - John Richardson, Shadrack Scarborough and Sam
uel Scarborough. Only proper use ________ of their successors
in office forever in fee simple. In witness whereof I have herewith put 
my hand and Seal the 27th dayh of August one thousand eight hun
dred and five
