Know all men by these Presents that whereas I, John A. Martin of said State and 
the County of Bulloch, am Siezed in fee of and in all that said Lot or tract of 
Land containing two hundred two and one-half Acres situate, lying, and being in 
the twelfth District of the County of Baldwin which said tract or lot of land 
is known and distinguished in the plan of Said District by the number 58 having 
such shape, form, and mark as will appear by referencing the Plat of said Land 
granted by His Excellency Jared Irwin and the Great Seal of the said State, on 
the Sixth day of January in the year of Our Lord, One thousand Eight hundred 
and Eight, Now Know ye that I the said John A. Martin have made, Constituted 
and appointed and by these presents do make, Constitute and appoint James 
Martin of the said State and County of Bryan, my true and lawful Attorney, for 
me and in my name, to Lease, Let, Sell and Dispose the tract or lot of land and 
premises above mentioned to such person or persons and for such a term or 
number of years, and let and under such yearly rents as he, my Said Attorney, 
shall think fit, or otherwise to sell and dismiss of, either for life or lives, 
or to Sell, Grant, and convey the same, absolutely in fee simple, for such 
price and sum of money and to such person or persons as he shall think fit and 
convenient, and also for me and in my name to Seal, Execute, and deliver such 
deeds, Conveyances, Bargains and Sales for the absolute Sale and disposing 
thereof, with such Clauses, Covenants and Agreements, to be therein contained, 
as my said Attorney shall think fit and expedient, hereby ratifying and 
confirming and allowing all such lease or liens, Deeds, Conveyances, Bargains 
or Sales which shall at anytime hereafter be sealed and Executed by my Said 
Attorney, touching or in any wise concerning the Premises above mentioned and 
all lawful Transactions Touching or Concerning the same wherein I am, or 
might /be/ at any time should be concerned within the limits of said State - 
said Attorney or Attorneys, one or more under him as he may appoint.

In Witness whereof, I the said John A. Martin have hereunto set my hand and 
Seal the Twenty Eighth day of May in the year of Our Lord, One thousand Eight 
hundred and Eight and in the thirty-second year of the Independence of the 
United States of America.

Personally came before me Abraham Gieger, who made the affirmation that he saw 
John Martin sign seal and deliver the said instrument of writing for the 
purposes therein mentioned and that the same was a subscribing witness with 
himself to the same affirmation made before me June 2nd 1808. s/Chas. Groover,
