State of Georgia, Bulloch County 
Be it known, That I Drury Miller if the County of Bulloch Pickens and State of 
Alabama for and in consideration of the love and affection I have for my 
nephew William T. Miller, now resident of Screven County, State of Georgia, do 
hereby give grant and convey unto him the said William T. Miller. a certain 
lot piece or parcel of land containing Two Hundred and fifty acres according 
to a survey made on the 28th day of December 1875 by R.F. Saunders and 
described as a subdivision of a tract of land, Originally granted to Benjamin 
Lanier lying and being in the County of Bulloch, and State of 
Georgia,adjoining the Lands of Benjamin L Lani (Lanier in other documents to 
his brothers), C.A. Rowland, Richard Gay amd Eveline Clifton.
Not subject, however, to sale or exchange by him the said William T. Miller. 
Nor liable to legal sale for any debts or obligations whatever that he may now 
owe or be liable for or may contract or incur hereafter. But it is intended as 
a homestead for his use and Occupancy during his natural life, and after his 
death to aescend to his widow and children. Witness my hand and seal, This the 
9th day of July 1879.

Additional Comments:
William T. Miller was my husband's great-grandfather, born 1852, d 1883. He 
died the same year that this deed was transferred to him. William was married 
to Sarah Vidella Dutton and had three sons, Clifford, William Oza, and Julian 
Sinclair Miller. His uncle, Drury Miller, lived in Pickens Co Al.
