1876, December 7--- This Indenture made between L. O. Rushing unto the 
Methodist Episcopal Church.  For and in consideration of the sum of $10 
dollars, hereby sell and convey and assigns a certain tract of land situated in 
the 44th District GM of Bulloch County Georgia bounded as follows; South by 
Lots Creek Meeting House Road, on all other sides by the Fish Pond Branch 
containing 1 ½ acres together with all the rights and privileges thereto 
belonging in fee simple.  And the said L.O. Rushing  will forever warrant to 
the said Methodist Episcopal Church against the lawful claims of all other 
persons.  In witness hereof to said L.O. Rushing has there unto set his hand 
and seal today.  And to be turned over to the Board of Trustees of our church 
property who shall consist of not less than 3 nor more than 9 persons each of 
whom shall not be less than 21 years age and 2/3 rds of who, be members of the 
Methodist Episcopal Church.
