Savannah Morning News, Feb. 22, 1980

Paul Cleveland McElveen, 85, of 1021 E. Duffy Street died Thursday at St.  
Joseph's Hospital after a long illness.  The Bulloch County native had been a  
resident of Savannah more than 35 years and was a retired carpenter and a  
veteran of World War I.  He was a member of Carpenter's Union Local 256.   
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Caroleigh Sumner McElveen of Savannah; a daughter,  
Mrs. Elizabeth Gregory of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, George McElveen of  
Martinez; Harold McElveen of Buena Vista and William Mcelveen of Columbia, S.  
C.; Mrs. Lizzie Knight of Stilson and 12 grandchildren and six great  
grandchildren.  
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm today at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home  
with Burial in Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
