Landmark Burned Saturday At Girard

Girard, Ga., November 2 – The residence of W.M. Lovett, 6 miles east of here, 
was completely destroyed by fire last night.  The cause of the fire is not 
known.

The burning of the Lovett home marks the passing of one of the old landmarks 
of this section, having been constructed more than 100 years ago.  It has long 
been the pride of its owners and the admiration of the community.
